7-9-17 BELIEVE Ch 12 "Prayer"
If you believe in the power of prayer you could probably tell some amazing stories of answered prayer. But everyone has prayers go unanswered. While prayer requires faith both to see God move as well as to trust God when He doesn’t, there is something else prayer requires. That something else Jesus taught us in His model prayer and yet we so quickly forget. We talk about it in this message. |
7-2-17 BELIEVE Ch 11 "Worship"
Ever struggle through a church service wondering why you can’t stay in the moment? If there is nothing more important than honoring God, why is it so easy to find a million other subjects to occupy the mind? If this is you, you're not alone. In this message we talk about why worship is so hard for everyone and what we can do about it. |

6-11-17 BELIEVE Ch 8 "Compassion"
We all have them. We talk about the good ones. We hide the embarrassing ones. They seem to determine how much and whom we help. They are why we may not always carry much in our empathy tank. What is it we all have? Excuses. Lets talk about how to get past the most common ones that plague us all so we can show compassion to those in need. |
6-4-17 BELIEVE Ch 7 "Humanity"
It's easy to become discouraged by all the poverty, disease, disasters, economic crises, random violence… The world is in desperate need of saving, but where do we begin? And what if our hearts have already grown cold? In this message, as we continue to learn to think like Jesus, we talk about a way to warm up our hearts and see humanity like He does. |

5-28-17 BELIEVE Ch 6 "Church"
Message by Eric Stewart |
5-21-17 BELIEVE Ch 5 "Identity In Christ"
Who is the loudest voice in your life, the one who tends to define you? Is it an abusive parent, a rude employer, a bitter ex, or a controlling significant other? Or is it more like a voice in your head that tells you don’t have what it takes; you’re not smart enough; good enough; attractive enough; athletic enough; experienced enough; confident enough; old or young enough? What you BELIEVE about who you indicates your happiness and the quality of your life! Maybe it is time to start listening to a better voice. |
5-14-17 BELIEVE Ch 4 "Bible"
We all have the same fears and concerns for our children. We look around at the world and can’t believe it has gotten this bad. We sometimes wonder how they are going to make it. We worry about their safety and even more about their daily choices. There are times when my wife and I get overwhelmed and feel discouraged, but there is hope—in this message we talk about the one weapon given to us to fight for their hearts! |

4-23-17 BELIEVE Ch 1 "God"
This week we kicked off our new series called BELIEVE, wrestling with the question: What is God like? A.W. Tozer once said, “What comes into our minds when we think about God is the most important thing about us.” Why? Because our mindset—or absence of it—will drive all we are and all we do. What do you believe God is like? |

4-9-17 Passion Week pt 4
This weeks message is from Nathaniel Iman. In this message we talk about Jesus and the disciples in the Garden of Gethsemane. |
4-2-17 Passion Week pt 3
Years ago, my grandma said something I didn’t believe at the time. She claimed that everyone has a price. Of course, back then I didn’t understand all the ways the world tries to buy a soul; I was naïve enough to believe that money was the only currency it traded in. In this message, we ask how close any of us are to playing the part of Judas and selling out to the world. |

3-26-17 Passion Week pt 2
If the old saying is true that a bucket can only pull up what is in the well, then what we allow in our hearts matters, right? Not only will what we listen to and watch help purify or continue to contaminate our inner self, but that deep well in us will eventually come back out in the words we say and the things we do. And even more, what we think about most has perhaps the greatest impact on who we are becoming. As we continue to look at the Passion Week, the week of Jesus’ passionate suffering for us, we can’t ignore the fact that Jesus keeps putting the focus back on our hearts. It’s as if He is asking, “What are you most passionate about?” |
3-19-17 Passion Week Pt 1
Ever get surprised by what a child says and wonder (after chuckling), “Now where did that come from?!” Do you sometimes do the same? You didn’t mean to be so hurtful or honest—it just came out! Where do these feelings and thoughts come from that seem to force their way out? In this first message of our new series looking at the Passion Week, lets talk about where these words come from and what we can do to better control them. |

3-5-17 Be Gre At Telling Others
Everyone should know how to change a tire and a diaper, tell time on an analog watch, balance a checkbook to the penny, grill a steak, tie a shoe, and tell people about Jesus without freaking out. While I don’t have time, even on a analog watch, to share how to do all of these, I would like to give it a go with the last one. In this message we break down how to talk to your friends, coworkers and family about a relationship with God. |

2-26-17 Be Gre At Loving Others
Greatest Commandment is to love God with everything you have and love others like you love you. If we could actually do this, we would live with meaning and passion. Only, this is hard. While loving God requires ALL our heart, soul, mind, and strength, loving others requires endless resources! How do we actively love a world filled with so many needs? In this message I share a phrase I learned years ago that helps me love others without getting overwhelmed. |
2-19-17 Be Gre At Loving God
While we are made to live with GREAT passion, life has a way of cooling us off. Passion is like a mug of hot cocoa on a cold day. There is nothing like taking a sip letting the flavors dance in your mouth as the liquid warms your chest. Only, like a cup not insulated, passion doesn’t stay hot long. By the time you are only halfway done, it is at best warm and heading toward undesirable. In this message we talk about how to keep our passion hot. |

2-12-17 Nehemiah pt 5
When life demands an answer, do you more often speak up too soon or wait too long? What does your answer say about your faith? Does waiting for God to act strengthen your faith, or does taking immediate action prove you have the faith required? When we live on the edges of either extreme, we may find ourselves far from the kind of faith we need to lead our family, to grow properly in our profession, and to strengthen our personal journey. In this message we talk about how to move away from either edge and into the beautiful tension of faith. |
2-5-17 Nehemiah pt 4
Imagine you are standing on the edge of something big. You have dreamed about this moment for years. But just when you feel ready to step off or jump in, you find it hard to move. You are surprised by how many are standing in your way. And you believe, if others knew your heart’s desire, they might ridicule you or even protest. But none of this surprises you as much as your own hesitation and fear. Isn’t this what you wanted? Isn’t this the right thing to do? What do you do when you are ready to live for something bigger than yourself and yet experience every kind of opposition imaginable? In this message we talk about how to move when it seems everyone and everything wants you to keep still. |

1-29-17 Nehemiah pt 3 "The One Question You Should Always Answer before Your Family Agrees To Anything”
Ever wonder if you are asking the right questions when it comes to your family? I ask lots of questions like, "Do we have enough money to buy this?" or "Will this help our kids in school or on the field?" Sometimes I just have to ask, "What was he thinking when he walked outside without a coat on…and no shoes…again?!" But there was this question Jesus asked often and I believe our marriages and families could be stronger if we would ask it as well. |
1-22-17 Nehemiah pt 2 "How To Live A Good Life”
How would you define the good life? The closeness of your relationships, the strength of your character, the meaningfulness of your work, the quality of your health, the impact of your generosity, the reach of your influence… Since we may not actually achieve all we desire in life, is the good life simply out of reach for most of us? Or is it possible that the good life isn’t defined this way at all? In this message we talk about how to have a good life. |

1-15-17 Nehemiah pt 2 "How Waiting Can Sometimes Do More For Your Family Than Action”
So you get upset and you catch yourself and maybe even say a prayer. Is that enough? Can you now go on ahead and take care of the problem? Maybe. Then again, what if you waited a little—or even a lot? What if you waited for something more than an opportunity to respond? In this message we talk about what can happen in the pause that might change even more than the situation. |
1-8-17 Nehemiah pt 1 "What Are The First Building Blocks For Positive Change In Our Lives?"
There is a feeling we all get when things don’t go our way. Sometimes we ignore it. Maybe after the fact, we laugh about it. But there are times when we just can’t shake it. Life isn’t the way it is supposed to be and this feeling is trying to warn us. This is when we need to let it stir in us until we are willing to do whatever it takes. Let’s talk about this feeling Sunday and how to use it to change our family and life. |
