Spencer Roberts, Youth Minister [email protected]
While I am the youngest member on staff, I've actually been actively attending Cadiz my entire life. Growing up as a worship minister's son, church always served as a second home for me. As I matured, I felt a clear calling to devote my life to youth ministry in a local church. I went on to graduate from Knightstown High School in 2015 and enrolled at Grace College to major in Youth Ministry and Biblical Studies. While there, I gained experience working at several different churches and leading the intramural program at Grace. I graduated from Grace in May of 2018, and started working at Cadiz as the full-time youth minister in June 2018. In July 2018, I married my high school sweetheart, Courtney. Since then, I've been enjoying acting like an adult and helping Courtney raise two annoyingly cute cats. Most importantly, however, I have an undying passion to raise up a new generation of authentic Christ-followers. Over the course of my life, I've had many amazing adults spend their time investing in me and showing me that a life spent in pursuit of Christ is the only life worth living. I hope to communicate that incredible truth to any child, pre-teen, or teen I come into contact with. I let Psalm 71:18 serve as a reminder that what I do is worthwhile: Even when I am old and gray, do not forsake me, my God, till I declare your power to the next generation, your mighty acts to all who are to come. My life-verse is Philippians 1:20: For I fully expect and hope that I will never be ashamed, but that I will continue to be bold for Christ, as I have been in the past. And I trust that my life will bring honor to Christ, whether by life or by death. |
