Pete Thomas, Deacon
Pete has been a life-long resident of central Indiana, having grown up in Pendleton and graduated from Pendleton Heights in 1993. In 1997, he graduated from Ball State with a BFA in Sculpture. Pete was an elementary and high school art teacher, serving most recently in New Castle, until 2010 when he accepted a position as full-time, stay-at-home dad.
Pete has been married to his wife, Jessica, since 1997 and they have three children, Isaac, Noah, and Ava. In his minimal amount of free time, he enjoys illustrating, woodworking, video gaming, and working to build a small creative business with his wife.
Pete has two favorite verses:
Matthew 19:14 But Jesus said, ‘Let the children alone, and do not hinder them from coming to Me; for the kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’
Psalms 28:3 Do not drag me away with the wicked and with those who work iniquity, who speak peace with their neighbors, while evil is in their hearts.
