Little Blessings Pre-School
Little Blessings Pre-School was opened in 2000, and is currently run by Eileen Riggs. Miss Eileen, as the children call her, has an Early Childhood Development certification, and 18 years experience in Day Care and Pre-School. She has been with Little Blessings for seven of those years.
Miss Eileen says, “The work of children is play.” Children learn by exploration and investigation. No computers or toys with batteries are found here. At Little Blessings, children learn to use their imaginations.
Our children learn the alphabet, how to write their names and how to count. These are the building blocks that Shenandoah Elementary’s kindergarten teachers want them to have to be prepared for kindergarten. Socialization skills such as manners and taking turns are also on the agenda, along with good hygiene and healthy eating. Children learn to sit and focus on the task at hand—at least for a short time.
With a Christian World View in mind, Little Blessings provides a solid foundation for the children’s educational and social future. Here, each child is truly seen as a little blessing.
